Micro Drone 3.0 Spreads Consumer Drone Awareness in the Lead Up To and Post-International Drone Day

London, UK. May 3rd, 2016Extreme Fliers announces its presence at select events this May to spread awareness about consumer drones in celebration of International Drone Day 2016.

International Drone Day 2016 is the second annual event celebrating drones. Taking place on May 7th, the drone community educates on the benefits of drones and encourages the public to participate in events with teams headed by professional racers and pilots in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Extreme Fliers will be participating in events across the US to show off its own range of small consumer drones. Visiting 4 different states throughout May, Extreme Fliers will be showcasing its latest product, the palm-sized Micro Drone 3.0 at the Wizard World Comic Con events in Minneapolis and Des Moines, the Amazing Comic Con event in Hawaii, and the Maker Faire in Bay Area.

The Micro Drone 3.0 is the highest crowd-funded drone campaign ever, raising over $3million on Indiegogo last year. The small but agile drone can fly up to 45MPH, and can perform stunts in three different speeds. Simple to manoeuvre, the compact drone offers the features of its much bigger competitors – passengers can fly First Person View (FPV), with the dedicated free app on iOS and Android, its snap on HD Wi-Fi camera and accompanying VR headset, to experience the illusion of being in the pilot’s seat!

Vernon Kerswell, Extreme Flier’s Founder and Hardware Architect comments, “We’re passionate about introducing people to this previously niche world. IDD is a great way to raise awareness about the positive impacts of drones and the benefits of owning a consumer drone. From friendly racing competitions, to the shooting of amazing aerial photography and film – the Micro Drone 3.0 embodies and provides the best experiences that drones can currently offer and we continue to push these boundaries to further fulfil our customers’ needs.”

The Wizard World Comic Con Minneapolis will take place between the 6th and 8th of May; Wizard World Comic Con Des Moines, 13th – 15th May; Amazing Comic Con Hawaii, 20th – 22nd May; and Maker Faire Bay Area, 20th – 22nd May.
